Ready to connect your mind, body and spirit through ancient wisdom, nature and neuroscience?

I love supporting individuals and organisations to learn simple, evidence-based ways to better manage stress and to stay away from burnout.

It's always a joy to be part of the journey away from stress and overwhelm towards more clarity, focus and joy in all areas of life.

In the words of Ram Dass, I like to remind us that 'we are all just walking each other home'.

You'll see here that I have oodles of qualifications, professional memberships and client endorsements.

But can I tell you a little secret?

My real qualification to help you is my own experience.

Many years ago, I didn't recognise the stress. I didn't know what to do. And when I finally found out what to do, I was too stuck to know where to start.

Have you ever felt the same as me? Feeling like you can care for everyone else but yourself?

I was a hot mess for a long time -- years!

When I took the long route back to health and happiness, I made the commitment to help people like you do the same but faster and with more ease.

Hi I'm Dee

I simply love my work as a senior Mindful Leadership Coach and Cross Professional Supervisor supporting professionals everyday to manage stress and build resilience, and to avoid burnout and to blossom.

I worked for many years in Social Care and Community Development both in frontline and management roles and later as a consultant in the not-for profit sector in Ireland. I experienced myself, and witnessed in others the depletion, demotivation, and complete exhaustion that comes as we approach burnout. For many years now my passion has been researching the high human cost of being a leader in the human care professions, and developing simple eloquent solutions for the over busy.

I am very grateful for the opportunities I've had to study with teachers of both Western and Eastern Wisdom traditions, followed by a full immersion in the neuroscience underpinning current secular mindful leadership .

I'n recent years I've taken most of my work online, and prepared for this with specialist training from The Mindfulness Academy Soltereno Spain in best practice in creating and holding safe space online, for her deep supervision and coaching work.

To date I've supported hundreds of heart centred professionals to leave chronic stress and overwhelm behind with evidence based, simple transformative actions from my unique  coaching approach.

I'm committed to continued professional development and supervision for all of my work and I'm supported in this by my full membership of the relevant professional bodies in Ireland.

So Why Me, Why Now?

As a younger woman, working in frontline, management and later as a consultant in the not for profit sector I was the original 'teflon coated', 'resilient'  'ever ready' professional, passionate about my work and maybe a tad hard on myself as I strived to be perfect. My burnout came out of nowhere and it cost me dearly.

And so my lifelong passion since then has been to ensure that no woman  burns out on my watch. Something that I like to remind myself and others of is that 'we are humans, not machines'. For years I worked. four different ways as a Spiritual Companion, Wisdom Supervisor, Retreat Facilitator, and Mindfulness Teacher, each offering the wonderful but often depletion woman I was with a different pathway away from burnout, and towards a life of meaning, purpose and happiness. Now I combine each of these modalities in my signature simple evidence based work in supporting often over busy 21st century womento live with meaning, ease and joy no matter what the external circumstances  or challenge.

  • Spiritual Companion

I was an Anamchara or Soul Friend to 450 women wanting space for meaning making or a deepening spirituality that is authentic and supportive.

  • Retreat Facilitator

I designed and delivered one day to eight day silent retreats for over 700 women wanting to have a time of deep rest, space, nourishment and connection.

  • Wisdom Supervisor

I have done deep listening and skills building with over 600 women in leadership roles, and 390 human care organisations.

  • Mindfulness

I have delivered Mindfulness courses including Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, (MBSR), Mindfulness and Self Compassion, and many Wellbeing and Resilience Trainings to over 2000 women.

Some of the many kind words from clients

Patricia Dowling

Director Of Services

Traveller Family Care Dublin

Dee showed fantastic insight, has excellent communication and reporting skills and kept everyone on track and up to speed in what was an enormous piece of work.Dee's knowledge and years of experience is second to none. Our organisation is extremely grateful to her for all her hard work , commitment and dedication. Without her input we would not have grown from strength to strength. We have learned so much and have grown from Dee who is a teacher and an enabler who has bestowed on us many gifts.

David Kieran

Operations Manager

St Patricks Centre Kilkenny

Here at St Patrick’s Centre, we are undergoing an enormous transformation, as we transition from a congregated institutional model of care, to a community focused, supported self-directed model, in line with the national policy ‘Time to Move On’. Dee has been hugely instrumental in helping us face the not insignificant cultural and practical challenges associated with such a change process. She has worked with individuals, teams, line and senior managers to support this ongoing process. Dee’s involvement has had a very positive influence on the change process.

Olga Estridge

Multiple Sclerosis Ireland

Dee is working with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland (MS Ireland) in the role of external supervisor to MS Ireland Case Work Staff. We have had a very positive experience with Dee who demonstrates a great capacity to create a space where case worker can reflect on their practice and explore their role within this often complex work. Dee’s style of reflective listening promotes an atmosphere where the MS Ireland case workers can develop strategies that supports solutions which in turn contributes to good outcomes for people with Multiple Sclerosis and family members. We would have no  hesitation in recommending Dee as a supervisor.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dee on a number of events for work, and she has always delivered amazing workshops. Her attention to detail and ability to develop appropriate content for the audience is excellent.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dee!

I had the pleasure of attending a 1 day Mindfulness in the Workplace course with Dee last year. She is a fantastic teacher and so knowledgeable and willing to share all of her experience. We went on to ask Dee to facilitate a mindful online event in my workplace too. She was so professional and tailored the content perfectly to suit and set the tone for our event. We received great feedback and I would highly recommend her services.

Chaplain, ireland

Dee's passion for mindfulness is infectious. Her way of teaching is compassionate, kindly and full of care. And yet light hearted. A gem of a day. Real nourishment. I followed that day with a 6 week Mindfulness and Compassion course. The above sentiments are the same for this. I look forward to doing more courses with Dee in the future.
